Day 17 A quiet day with friends

Day 17 A quiet day with friends

Moira Lydia and Paddy

Well today was a nice quiet day as I spent some time with Paddy and Lydia, who had driven over from Waterford to visit me.

Paddy is the brother of my friend Bernadette who lives in Geraldton at home. Paddy has been a regular visitor to WA and so our paths have crossed many times as he came over to visit his sister Bern.

So my morning was nice and quiet as I waited for them to arrive from Waterford - about 2 hours away.

I went to Mass as usual, and Fr Des is back, so once again we had the usual litany of who we were praying for that day....

Then I went for my usual walk along the beach. Tide was out and the sea was calm.
(I feel like Mrs Bale from "As time goes by" reporting on the weather in the Channel!!)

I spent the morning researching a few things that I want to follow up from previous blog posts. I will soon put up a extra post that contains responses or further knowledge from  some posts earlier on. I am continually learning new things!!!

Paddy and Lydia arrived about 2 pm and we went to the Atlantic Hotel for lunch. It was just as good for lunch as it is for dinners! 😊

After lunch Lydia opted for a swim at the pool in the Recreation Center. I hadn't been there before, but it was lovely inside and the pool looks brand new. Paddy and I opted for a walk along the Promenade and just enjoyed the beautiful sunshine that came our way today. Can't believe this weather!!! I have been so lucky so far.

Walking can be thirsty work, so after a while we settled for a drink at Danny Macs...

We all re-united when Lydia had  finished her swim and went for another little walk along the Promenade...

So it wasn't what you would call an exciting day, but it was just pleasant and lovely to catch up with Paddy again. I think the last time we saw each other was pre-Covid!

It's nice just to take a breath during my Wanderings and get ready for the next big thing!!!
